You Can’t Go Home Again

Peace is knowing that we are always Divinely Guided.  Everything is perfectly unfolding to lead us to our destiny.  The only requirement: faith and surrender.  When we align with our Highest Self we align with our Divine Purpose and everything that is needed to fulfill that purpose presents itself into physical form.  This is living in grace and equanimity.

The Flower of Life

Oftentimes, the situations and people that are brought to us may appear challenging.  This is a necessary function of reality because it is frequently necessary to shake us out of our comfort zone in order to align with a new pathway forward.  When we start to recognize this, we begin to take an elevated and conscious approach to find this new pathway.  When we trust that the Universe is “rigged in our favor” we drop judgement and we begin seeing that everything is being presented for our soul’s greatest good.

Each morning when I rise, I say the same prayer: “Bring me today whatever is for my Greatest Good and the Greatest Good of All.”  I state my intentions to God and without fail, the Source delivers on my prayer.  My job is to trust that whatever is before me is for my Greatest Good.  My task is to recognize it, acknowledge it, and then utilize the lesson to move forward.  This is living our yoga and meditation.

It was Thomas Wolf who famously wrote, “You can’t go home again.”  The implication of his sentiment was that we can’t revisit the past, no matter how much we may have relished that very past.  Not unlike F. Scott Fitzgerald who longed for the 1920s long after the era had passed, grasping for what once was is a surefire way to threaten our sense of internal peace.  In our hopes of reliving we fail to live the current moment which we all know is the only moment that truly counts.  Hoping we can recapture some foregone era to bathe in it once again lends itself to unhappiness.

This year has forced us to come to terms with what once was may never be again.  We can’t go “home” to 2019 and this may indeed be a very good thing.  We have been shaken to reevaluate our beliefs and to forge ahead to a new way of living.  No matter what our personal struggles with this year may be, we must always remember that this is for our Greatest Good.  In the destruction comes the opportunity for new growth.

The past has left us, necessarily so.  Returning to “normal” is just a concept that we have devised in our minds in order to deal with the seismic changes that have occurred across the world.  Normal is whatever is happening in the moment—normal unfolds in every second of every day and our mission is to come to a place of acceptance with each new normal and then adapt and tact towards our place in this new reality.

For me, I have moved deeper into my yoga, meditation and spiritual practice.  When I feel challenged, I dig deeper into my relationship with the Divine and I press myself to surrender to Divine Will more and more.  This is God’s Cosmic Play and I know that the Divine is the Supreme Director of the Universe who has assigned every role and every situation and scene with complete perfection and synchronization.  It is my duty to play my role the very best I can while allowing everyone else to play their role as well.  God chose them for their part in this play, and they are fulfilling their part with perfection no matter what my egoic constructs or judgments might believe to the contrary.

This is true faith.  This isn’t a concept, or some casual word play to use as a balm to make people feel better; faith is trust in God’s Cosmic Play.  Surrender is fulfilling my part and allowing those around me to fulfill theirs.  My job is to be as loving and kind to every person I encounter and to spread the light of love to each person I interact with.  After this, I must simply allow whatever is to be.

It was Anandamayi Ma, the great Indian Saint, who when faced with a question about world events would always respond in the same manner; “Whatever will be will be.”  She inherently knew that God is the director of this Cosmic Play and whatever the Divine intuited as necessary would be delivered for our Greatest Good.  She also knew that we should to take action where needed and continue living in our highest state of consciousness for the greatest good of all while surrendering to the Divine Will of God.  When we come into alignment with the Cosmic Blueprint everything becomes at once harmonious.

We must trust in our own goodness and deliver that goodness to the world.  Worry not about what others are doing and instead focus fully on how we can make the world a more loving and kinder place.  If you have found this message and are reading this, you are the spiritual leader we are seeking.  When we join together with the shared mission of healing the world with love, kindness and compassion we are fulfilling our role in the Cosmic Play and then the Divine can bring us the necessary environment to bring lasting loving evolution.

I am grateful for you and your journey.  Keep your spirits high knowing that you are forever guided and protected by the Source of All Love.  Everything is Divinely unfolding in our favor.  Live in eternal gratitude and joy knowing that the Universe is “rigged in your favor!”
