About me
David Ahearn is a national keynote speaker and best-selling author of eight books including Listen, Laugh, Connect, We’ll Always Have Paris, 12 Universal Laws, Pura Vida and White Tantric Yoga. He is also a co-founder and was the host of the improvisational comedy show Four Day Weekend and is currently the host of Yes, And Yoga on Amazon Prime Video. His latest book is called, Quietude.

David Daniel Ahearn
David Daniel Ahearn was born in Iowa, spending the first 18 years of his life near the Mississippi River. Like Mark Twain, the river held a special place in David’s heart.
David left Iowa in 1989 to pursue a career in stand-up comedy and eventually co-founded the longest running improv show, Four Day Weekend, in the Southwest (United States). David has multiple accomplishments including:

Storyline
- 1969
I was born in Iowa on July 4, 1969. Two weeks later Woodstock would commence and America landed on the moon. The bar was set high.
- 1989
I left Iowa in January of 1989 to begin pursing my dream of becoming a stand-up comedian. My first time onstage was May 06, 1989. I was terrified.
- 1997
On February 28, 1997, we performed the very first Four Day Weekend show. We have performed more than 7,000 shows.
- 2005
I hosted Four Day Weekend’s first television pilot called The Weekend Report. It would never see the light of day.
- 2007
I wrote, directed and produced my first television pilot called, Get Lost. The network didn’t pick it up. This was a blessing in disguise. Watch Get Lost!
- 2011
I, along with Four Day Weekend, performed in front of the US Congress with President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden in attendance. See a clip!
- 2015
For the first time ever, I penned a novel entitled Pura Vida. This would begin a writing journey that continues to this day.
- 2017
Four Day Weekend celebrated 20 years of shows culminating in a performance at Bass Hall. Also, I co-wrote the best selling book, Happy Accidents, with David Wilk and Frank Ford. Watch interview!
- 2018
Became Entrepreneur in Residence at Neely School of Business, TCU in Fort Worth. Won lifetime achievement award for entrepreneurship from NAACE.
- 2020
After 23 years, I stepped away from Four Day Weekend to pursue writing and speaking. I currently speak more than 50 times annually around the world.
- Today
Adi and I live in Texas and I just finished my latest novella, Quietude, which was released January 9, 2024.
